A government council is seeking an experienced commercial cleaning contractor to provide comprehensive janitorial services for two facilities under a single contract covering a combined service area of approximately 125,000 square feet, including a six-story building and a single-story building. Services include routine office cleaning, trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, floor maintenance, restroom disinfection, window cleaning, pressure washing, carpet care, day porter coverage, and emergency cleaning response. The RFP was released in late August, with a site walkthrough period available from August 31 to September 4; questions are due early September, and proposals are due September 18. The initial contract term is one year with up to four additional one-year renewal options. Contractors must demonstrate commercial janitorial experience with similar-sized facilities, sufficient staffing and equipment, a quality-control process, day porter coverage, and emergency-response capability. A best-value evaluation will consider experience, pricing, and staffing and quality-control plans, with walkthroughs strongly encouraged but not mandatory.
